EMTB solid-liquid mixer
Solid-liquid mixer that incorporates powder and granular product into a liquid and dissolves them without lumps. The base liquid circulates through the mixing chamber and generates the suction that draws in the solid. Sanitary finish, wetted parts in polished AISI 316L and from 2.2 to 7.5 kW.

What is the EMTB solid-liquid mixer for?
The EMTB is InoxMIM's solid-liquid mixer, known in other markets as a blender. Thanks to the design of its impeller and suction system, it produces homogeneous mixtures of powder and granular product with the base liquid. It is a unit with few parts and simple connections, easy to maintain and with a high level of hygiene.
The base liquid is pumped through the mixing chamber and generates the suction that draws in the solid, which is mixed vigorously and dissolved. Once all the powder has gone in, the regulating valve is closed and, after several recirculations, a completely homogeneous mixture is obtained. This system prevents the powder from wetting on the surface and caking, and therefore prevents the agglomerates that complicate the operation.
This is the right equipment if…
- You need to incorporate powder or granules into a liquid without lumps forming.
- You prepare brines, syrups or reconstituted milk.
- You dissolve bentonites, thickeners or sugars, or incorporate additives, agrochemicals or lime.
- You need a sanitary finish and equipment that can be dismantled quickly for cleaning.
Choose other equipment if…
- You need high shear to emulsify as well as mix: the EML/EMLT inline high-shear mixer is better.
- You prefer to dissolve the powder inside the tank: the EMV/EMVT emulsifier, which also dissolves large quantities of powder, is better.
- You only need to mix liquids with low shear in the tank: the TURBINE vertical mixer is enough.
- You only need to transfer the liquid, without incorporating solids: a centrifugal pump is better.
Applications by industry
Where the EMTB is typically used:
Dairy industry
Reconstituting milk from milk powder.
Food and beverage
Syrup production, brine preparation and dissolving sugars and thickeners.
Cosmetics and pharmaceuticals
Incorporating additives and thickeners into the base liquid, with a sanitary finish.
Chemicals and agrochemicals
Dissolving bentonites and incorporating agrochemicals or lime.
Features and benefits
Incorporation by suction
The liquid circulating through the mixing chamber draws in the solid and disperses it instantly.
No lumps
Prevents the powder from wetting on the surface and caking, and therefore prevents agglomerates in the batch.
Mixing by recirculation
With the regulating valve closed, several recirculations leave the mixture completely homogeneous.
Quick dismantling
Clamp connections and few parts: simple cleaning and maintenance.
Sanitary design
Wetted parts in polished AISI 316L, EPDM seals and a sanitary finish.
Motor protection
Stainless steel motor cover and support in AISI 304.
Versions and sizes
Three versions, EMTB, EMTB Y and EMTB V, each with its own dimensions (drawings in the catalogue). The first number in the code is the motor power in kW. We will tell you which version fits your installation.

| EMTB 2.2-3000 | 2.2 kW | DN40 / DN40 |
| EMTB 4-3000 | 4 kW | DN50 / DN50 |
| EMTB 7.5-3000 | 7.5 kW | DN65 / DN65 |
| EMTB Y 2.2-3000 | 2.2 kW | DN40 / DN50 |
| EMTB Y 4-3000 | 4 kW | DN50 / DN65 |
| EMTB Y 7.5-3000 | 7.5 kW | DN65 / DN80 |

Frequently asked questions about the EMTB solid-liquid mixer
How does it incorporate the powder into the liquid?
By suction. The base liquid is pumped through the mixing chamber and creates the suction that draws in the solid, which is mixed vigorously and dissolved. Once all the powder has gone in, the regulating valve is closed and the liquid is recirculated until the mixture is homogeneous.
Why do no lumps form?
Because the solid enters directly into the moving liquid, inside the mixing chamber. This prevents the powder from wetting on the surface and caking, which is what forms agglomerates in the batch.
What products are prepared with the EMTB?
Brines, reconstituted milk and syrups, and solutions of bentonites, thickeners or sugars. It is also used to incorporate additives, agrochemicals or lime.
What is the difference between the EMTB, the EMTB Y and the EMTB V?
Each version has its own dimensions and connections: the EMTB and the EMTB V, for example, have both connections of the same diameter, whereas on the EMTB Y one is larger than the other. The EMTB and EMTB Y are made from 2.2 to 7.5 kW and the EMTB V in 2.2 and 4 kW. We will tell you which one fits your installation.
How is it cleaned?
It can be dismantled quickly thanks to the Clamp connections, and it has few parts. The wetted parts are polished AISI 316L with a sanitary finish, designed to work with a high level of hygiene.
Does it need a feed pump?
It depends on the installation. The base liquid is conveyed and pumped through the mixing chamber; as an option, the EMTB is supplied with a centrifugal or positive displacement feed pump.
