VAI/VSI/VDI/VSIN vertical agitator
Industrial vertical agitator for reagent preparation with a reinforcement tower and half shaft, which extend the life of the motor and allow a longer shaft. It is anchored with a DN50 DIN 2576 PN10 flange and is available with an industrial, food or sanitary finish.

What is the VAI/VSI/VDI/VSIN industrial vertical agitator for?
The VAI, VSI, VDI and VSIN are industrial vertical agitators for reagent preparation, agitation of dosing tanks, dispersion of reagents, keeping mixes homogeneous and dissolving solid products. They are used in the food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
Their main feature is the reinforcement tower: a half shaft transmits the motor load to the shaft and a guide with lip seal in the tower makes the assembly sturdy. The result is a longer motor life, a longer shaft and a high agitation capacity. The four models share the same design and differ in their drive.
This is the right equipment if…
- You prepare reagents or agitate dosing tanks.
- You need to dissolve solids, disperse reagents or keep a mix homogeneous.
- You want a fixed agitator with a DN50 PN10 flange and a well-guided long shaft.
- You need a food or sanitary finish, or a pneumatic drive (VSIN).

- You are looking for portable equipment for open tanks: the SB/SBR/SBN with clamp is the better choice.
- It is a small HDPE tank and a basic agitator is enough: the MD/MDN is the better choice.

What is the difference between the VAI, VSI, VDI and VSIN?
The drive. The VAI and VSI have a direct electric motor (the VAI below T90 and the VSI above it); the VDI, an electric motor with a coaxial gear reducer; and the VSIN, a pneumatic motor. All share the support tower, half shaft and DN50 flange.
Which anchor flange does it have?
A DN50 flange to DIN 2576 PN10, with an outside diameter of 165 mm, 128 mm between centres and 4 bolt holes of 13 mm at 90°.
What is the advantage of the reinforcement tower?
It protects the motor. The half shaft transmits the load to the shaft and the lip-seal guide in the tower makes the assembly sturdy, so the motor lasts longer and a longer shaft can be fitted.
Which finish do I need?
It depends on the hygiene the process requires. The industrial finish is suitable for chemicals and reagents; the food and sanitary finishes, for food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
What materials is it made of?
The shaft and propeller are made of AISI 316 stainless steel, the other parts of AISI 304 and the support tower of aluminium. For aggressive reagents, the shaft and propeller can be coated with PVC, PE or resins.
How is the agitator maintained?
With periodic checks of the lip seal and the connection between the half shaft and the shaft. The equipment has few parts and is easy to fit and remove, which shortens downtime.
