Description

The FL20C pump is positioned as the entry-level equipment for the InoxMIM industrial pumping range, specifically designed for those points in the process where sanitary reliability is required in an extremely small size. Unlike plastic or cast iron pumps, the FL20C is built entirely of AISI 316 stainless steel, which guarantees superior resistance to chemical corrosion and a long service life even in humid or saline environments.

Its most relevant technical feature is the incorporation of an open impeller of Ø 90 mm. This hydraulic geometry is essential to avoid clogging, allowing the passage of fluids that, although clean, may contain small traces of suspended particles (such as in recovery water or filtered wines). Its monobloc design eliminates the need for shaft alignment, simplifying installation in skids or space-critical machinery.

Customization

Despite being standardized equipment, the FL20C allows for technical configurations to ensure its integration into food or chemical lines:

Connections: Standard supply with GAS thread for industrial piping, but adaptable upon request to DIN 11851, CLAMP or SMS for environments requiring fast hygienic disassembly.
Sealing: The standard mechanical seal can be configured with elastomers in Viton (FKM) for compatibility with hydrocarbons or acids, or EPDM for bases and hot water.
Protection: Stainless steel shroud option for the motor, ideal for protecting the equipment during external cleaning operations (hosing down) in the plant.
Mounting: Available on a fixed base plate or lightweight mobile trolley for use as an auxiliary pump at different points in the factory.

Performance Curve

The hydraulics of the FL20C are calculated to offer stable performance in auxiliary transfer operations:

Operating range: Optimal for flow rates between 2 and 10 m³/h, where it maintains constant pressure without cavitation.
Head: Capable of overcoming elevation changes or pressure drops of up to 10-11 m.w.c. (approx. 1 bar), sufficient for transfers between tanks, machine filling, or feeding cooling circuits.
Speed versatility: Although the standard is 3000 rpm (0.37 kW) for maximum flow, it can be configured at 1500 rpm (0.25 kW) for delicate transfers of fluids that should not be excessively agitated.

Thanks to its robust AISI 316 construction and its size, it is the go-to auxiliary pump for:

Wine industry: Transfer of clean wines, filtered musts, and laboratory or small winery operations.
Food auxiliaries: Pumping of treated water, glycols in chillers, light brines, and diluted cleaning solutions.
