InoxMIM industrial emulsifiers are designed to generate homogeneous mixtures, stable emulsions, and fine dispersions in processes where high shear, precision, and temperature control are required.

Their construction in AISI 316L stainless steel, the use of refrigerated double mechanical seals, and their compatibility with CIP/SIP systems guarantee reliable operation under demanding conditions, both in hygienic lines and in industrial environments.

The AgitMIM range includes vertical, bottom, and inline emulsifiers, as well as high-speed micronizing equipment, covering the entire range of mixing, dissolving, and emulsifying operations in the food, chemical, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Emulsifiers

InoxMIM centrifugal pump models

The TURBINE model is designed for mixing products that require a low degree of shear, achieving homogeneous results without altering the product’s structure.
Its VORTEX-type turbine and slotted channeled body generate powerful axial suction, promoting complete fluid circulation within the tank, which allows for homogenizing, dissolving, or suspending particles without the need for deflectors.
Thanks to the W/W/V mechanical seal and anchoring via IEC or DIN 2576 flange, it can operate under positive pressure or vacuum conditions, even in nitrogenated tanks.
It is ideal for preparing sauces, mayonnaises, brines, powder solutions, cosmetic creams, and gels, ensuring a stable and repeatable mixture.

EMV and EMVT vertical emulsifiers (1 or 2 stages) have been designed to obtain fine emulsions and highly uniform dispersions through controlled radial shear.
They can process fluids with viscosities up to 20,000 cP, maintaining product integrity and preventing aeration.
The sealing system allows operation in overpressure or vacuum without an external refrigerated mechanical seal, while its adjustable head ensures complete sanitation and easy maintenance.
They are especially suitable for emulsifying creams, sauces, mayonnaises, dissolving gums or resins, and homogenizing cosmetic or pharmaceutical products.

The EM model combines the rotor-stator principle with a multi-stage turbine, providing a superior degree of dispersion and high emulsion stability.
Its modular design allows adapting the head geometry to the type of product, being able to incorporate slotted or perforated stages according to the required level of shear.
This emulsifier is used in processes of dissolving, dispersing, mixing, or grinding solids in liquids, achieving a homogeneous and lump-free product.
Ideal for the food and cosmetic industry, where precision, repeatability, and ease of cleaning are required.

The EMF bottom emulsifier is designed for fixed installation at the base of reactors or tanks, ensuring constant product recirculation without dead zones.
The high-shear head allows processing mixtures of high viscosity and different densities, favoring the dispersion of particles or droplets in complex emulsions.
Its compact design with refrigerated double mechanical seal ensures leak-proof operation, even in processes under pressure or high temperature.
It is an ideal solution for cosmetic reactors, cream mixers, pharmaceutical gels, technical emulsions, or chemical suspensions where direct emulsification from the bottom of the tank is required.

The EML and EMLT models provide high degrees of emulsification and homogenization while pumping the product, thanks to the advanced design of the heads and impulsion turbines.
They allow working with liquid, pasty, or solid-dispersed products, obtaining a homogeneous, lump-free, and oxidation-free result.
The EMLTs incorporate high-performance multi-toothed heads, custom-designed according to the characteristics of the fluid, reaching superior levels of homogenization in mixtures of high viscosity or different density.
In addition to their emulsifying function, they can be used as auxiliary recirculation or transfer pumps, optimizing process continuity and energy utilization.
Compatible with DIN, CLAMP, or SMS connections, and manufactured entirely in AISI 316L, they are key equipment in continuous food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical lines.

The MICRO is a high-precision emulsifier designed to reduce particle size down to 0.8 microns, obtaining emulsions and suspensions of maximum stability.
Its multi-toothed rotor, rotating up to 12,000 rpm (33 m/s), generates an intense shearing action and mechanical shock, achieving uniform dispersion even in high-viscosity products.
It equips a refrigerated double mechanical seal, CLAMP connections, and a bearing support that absorbs axial and radial loads, guaranteeing robustness and long-term reliability.
Recommended for technical emulsions, microencapsulates, pharmaceutical or cosmetic suspensions, where particle control and sanitary surface finish are required.
Its finish level is completely hygienic and polished, facilitating cleaning, inspection, and maintenance.

Most common industrial applications

Food industry

InoxMIM emulsifiers are widely used in the preparation of sauces, mayonnaises, purees, fat emulsions, dressings, and food bases that require a fine and stable structure.

Their ability to disperse and dissolve solids in liquids, along with their CIP/SIP compatibility, reduces mixing times and ensures a uniform and reproducible texture in all batches.

Cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry

Applied in the manufacture of creams, gels, ointments, shampoos, or dermocosmetic emulsions, the EMV, EMF, and MICRO models offer precise and controlled agitation without aeration.

They ensure product homogeneity and uniform distribution of particles or oils, meeting the requirements of GMP and FDA standards.

Chemical industry

The EML and EMLT inline models, along with the MICRO, are applied in the formulation of resins, silicones, pigments, adhesives, or technical suspensions, guaranteeing stable emulsions, even with abrasive or corrosive products.

The control of shear and the possibility of integrating frequency converters allows adjusting the mechanical energy to the type of product and viscosity of the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Vertical emulsifiers (EMV, EM, TURBINE) are installed on top of the tank and work by direct immersion, generating an axial or radial flow depending on the type of head. Bottom emulsifiers (EMF) are integrated into the base of the reactor, ensuring complete recirculation without dead zones, ideal for high-viscosity products. Inline emulsifiers (EML/EMLT) pump and process the product simultaneously, ensuring a uniform emulsion in recirculation or continuous production systems.

Depending on the model and installed power, the equipment can operate with fluids from 1 to 20,000 cP, ranging from low-density liquids to high-viscosity pastes and creams.
The EMLT and MICRO models even allow processing non-Newtonian behavior products, ensuring a stable emulsion by adjusting the shear regime.

High-shear models, such as the MICRO, achieve particle sizes smaller than 1 micron (0.8 µm), while EMV or EMF emulsifiers offer results between 5 and 10 µm, depending on the nature of the fluid and the installed head.
The final size depends on the shear energy, the rotor-stator geometry, and the relative viscosity of the phases.

Yes. All InoxMIM emulsifiers are designed according to hygienic principles EHEDG and 3-A, with Ra ≤ 0.8 µm finishes and total head drainage.
The vertical and inline models can be cleaned without disassembly, reducing downtime and ensuring sterile operating conditions.

The EMF, EMV, and EMLT models are available in versions for positive pressure or vacuum, with simple, double, or pressurized mechanical seals depending on the application.
These configurations allow working in closed reactors, pressurized lines, or controlled degassing processes, without risk of leakage or contamination.

The modular system allows interchanging different head geometries (slotted, perforated, or toothed) according to the required level of shear.
This makes it easy to adapt the same emulsifier to multiple products or viscosities, optimizing process performance and reducing investment costs.

The equipment only needs periodic inspections of the mechanical seal, bearings, and dynamic balancing of the rotor.
Thanks to the accessible design of the head and the availability of standard maintenance kits, operations can be performed without special tools and with minimal downtime.

Yes. InoxMIM has a process engineering department that performs pilot tests with real product to correctly size the power, speed, and type of head.
This ensures that the final equipment meets the specifications of viscosity, particle size, and flow required, guaranteeing a start-up without subsequent adjustments.
