Liquid Ring Pumps FL-AL
Self-priming and bidirectional equipment made of AISI 316 stainless steel. The FL-AL series operates under liquid ring technology, offering excellent vacuum capacity for the transfer of clean fluids without solid particles. With flow rates of up to 55 m³/h and the availability of direct current motors (12V/24V), it is the definitive solution for logistics, wine, and chemical operations.

The FL-AL series represents a specific electromechanical solution for the transfer of fluids that, while free of solid particles, require negative suction operations or changes in flow direction. Unlike conventional volute centrifugal pumps, this range bases its operation on a star-design impeller that rotates inside a slightly eccentric stator body.
As it rotates, centrifugal force projects the liquid against the chamber walls, forming a peripheral "liquid ring". Due to the eccentricity of the body, variable volume chambers are generated between the impeller blades. In the expansion zone, the pump sucks air from the pipe, and in the compression zone, it expels it. This physical phenomenon gives the pump a powerful vacuum capacity, allowing empty pipes to be primed automatically and safely.
Furthermore, the perfectly symmetrical geometry of the star impeller gives the FL-AL series its most sought-after feature: total reversibility. By simply reversing the polarity or the rotation of the electric motor, the pump drives the product in the opposite direction while maintaining exactly the same hydraulic performance curve, something impossible in a spiral-design centrifugal pump.
- Electrical independence (DC Motors): It is one of the few industrial pumps that, in addition to mains options (Three-phase 400V and Single-phase 230V), offers motorizations in 12V and 24V direct current. This allows the pump to be installed directly on the chassis of tanker trucks, chemical delivery vans, or agricultural machinery, operating 100% autonomously connected to the vehicle's battery.
- Connection machining: Supplied under the DIN 11851 hygienic standard, the thick wall of its stainless cast body allows the ports to be adapted to GAS threads, or to specific standards such as CLAMP, SMS, RJT, and MACON (the historical fitting of the French and Spanish wine industry).
- Mechanical seal shielding: The standard seal (Carbon/Ceramic/NBR) is highly reliable for clean cold fluids. However, for the transfer of aggressive chemicals, solvents, or high-temperature products, the equipment is reconfigured with extra-hard friction faces in Silicon Carbide and elastomeric gaskets in Viton (FKM), eliminating the risk of corrosive leaks.
- Turnkey mobile systems: Deliverable on tubular stainless steel trolleys with an integrated rotation inverter and waterproof control panel, ideal for moving between the aisles of a winery.
- FL20AL Models (Micro-transfers and extreme mobility): Ultra-compact and lightweight equipment with power ratings from just 0.22 kW. They move flow rates of up to 2.5 m³/h and overcome backpressures of 20 m.w.c. (2 bar). They are the indispensable tool for laboratory sampling, specific chemical dosing, or micro-wineries.
- FL32AL and FL40AL Models (Industrial mid-range): The standard plant format. Operating with motors between 0.45 kW and 1.5 kW, they multiply the transfer capacity to reach between 4.5 and 13.8 m³/h. Their size-to-power ratio makes them excellent for feeding filter presses or emptying medium collection tanks.
- FL50AL and FL70AL Models (High transfer capacity): The heavy-duty equipment in the range. Powered by 5.5 and 7.5 kW industrial motors, they are capable of pumping up to 30 m³/h while maintaining extremely stable pressure curves of 40 m.w.c. (4 bar). Their niche is the uninterrupted unloading of tankers and long-distance transfer between large-volume tank farms.
- FL80AL Model (Maximum transfer): The largest pump in the 15 kW range, it is capable of pumping up to 55 m³/h while maintaining extremely stable pressure curves of 55 m.w.c. (5.5 bar) at the lowest flow rates. They are mainly used in applications with high transfer requirements such as brine in oil mills, milk, or CIP returns.
- Wine and oil industry: Transfer of finished wines, filtered musts, alcohols, vinegars, and fine vegetable oils. Its bidirectional capacity allows for the use of a single pump and hose configuration to fill a tank and, hours later, empty it with just the flip of a switch.
- Fluid logistics and transport: Featuring 12V/24V motors, it is the standard pumping equipment mounted on trucks for the capillary delivery of liquid fertilizers, chemical additives, or milk collection on farms.
- Chemical and cosmetic industry: Safe handling of complex but clean liquid fluids, such as diluted organic acids, water-based solvents, inks, liquid soaps, glycols, and foaming detergents where a normal centrifugal pump would lose its prime.
